Get Back On God's Path
Get Back On God's Path | September 19, 2023
Have you ever wandered from the strait and narrow path of God? Maybe it was a detour because of difficulty, or perhaps you made the wrong turn by giving in to temptation. Regardless of how you got there, you must return to God's perfect path. You journey back to God's way by believing there is no better path and plan for your life.
Psalm 16:11 promises, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is the fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
God will show you the path. He will provide His presence and pleasures, blowing those cheap thrills you have been chasing out of the water! Furthermore, God's way includes an abundance of joy that cannot be manufactured by human means or merits. As you surrender your focus toward God, you can expect His Word to provide the necessary navigation.
Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
You will find that your enemy, the devil, will fight nothing harder than your prayer and Scripture-reading time. Without these two indispensable tools, remaining consistently on God's path will be impossible. If read regularly and applied accurately, the Scriptures provide an unmistakable map of clarity and confidence. Rather than being governed by your instincts or feelings, the Scriptures condition your trust in God's sovereignty. The Word of God is far more productive and practical than any self-help tool. It will also produce the faith you need to trust God, yielding even more guidance for your path.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Make the necessary changes now to get back on God's path.
