How do you process your problems? Do you blame others or even God? Does your attitude dip? See, we can't just be people of faith during prosperous times. Let me be clear: life will be unfair. Sadly, bad things happen to good people, and if we are willing to be transparent, we sometimes cause our drama! While these realities of life are undeniable, so is the fact that how we respond ultimately determines whether we sink or swim.
Knowing this, we need to have a mindset of faith. Think of a mindset of faith as a person who chooses to see their situation, no matter how adverse, through a faith perspective. This perspective means you will stop the fixation on negativity and believe in God for the breakthrough or miracle. You may need to put some so-called friends and family on ice during this approach because their negativity demoralizes you. We must remember that there is power in the tongue. Proverbs 18:21a reminds us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue..."
We need to surround ourselves with people of faith. That's not to say we must pretend there isn't a difficulty or dilemma. On the contrary, we should be realistic about our troubles but equally focused on the goodness of God.
Therefore, believe God for the miracle. Go out and buy a Bible for that daughter, son, or spouse you are praying for to come to Christ. Go plan that trip regardless of the medical report. Take that class, try out for that team, and knock on some new doors because you are the King's kid.
