Take Ownership Of Unhealthy Choices

Take Ownership Of Unhealthy Choices | January 23, 2024
Making the same mistake twice is common. However, repeating that same misstep without taking action to correct it is both ignorant and potentially destructive. James 4:17 says, “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.”
See, we will only grow and fulfill our promises to God and others once we own up to the fact that some of our actions have become unhealthy choices. Deuteronomy 30:15 says, “Now listen! Today, I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster.”
Throughout the Scriptures, God offers His people the opportunity to choose the road of blessing over the path of spiritual death. Although God guides us through the crossroads of choices, we still need to exercise human intention and decide between good and evil. Make no mistake; we are on the hook for every choice—the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Most likely, you have taken inventory of those not-so-good choices made in the past and some current ones. The best recourse for making good decisions is first to confess those bad choices to God. Then, ask for His forgiveness and purpose your heart on making choices that honor Him. Next, replace those unproductive choices with healthy ones.
Remember, you will never regret making choices that reflect God’s heart.

Recently I attended a wake. A man from crossroads church talked a little. I loved it. I'll try to attend this sunday.
