Pray For Strength

Global spending on energy drinks has exceeded $79 billion, and projections suggest that this figure may double in the coming years. One reason for the growing demand is fatigue; consumers often turn to energy drinks for a quick and convenient boost in alertness and energy. Whether it's the workspace, students trying to push through, or the generation appeal, energy drinks are a go-to for people who are fatigued.
Physical fatigue is just one type of weariness you can experience. You can also struggle with emotional, mental, and even relational fatigue. Therefore, when you're dealing with a draining situation or a difficult person, you need more than just an energy drink; you need God's strength.
The story of Nehemiah is a great example of this. Amid unjust criticism and discouragement from their adversaries, which included Sanballat the Horonite (governor of Samaria), Tobiah the Ammonite (an Ammonite official), and Geshem the Arab, Nehemiah sought not only physical strength to complete the project but also relief from fatigue in wrestling with these agitators.
Nehemiah 6:9 / NLT, “For they were all trying to intimidate us, saying, 'They will drop their hands from the work, and it will never be finished.' But now, my God, strengthen my hands.""“
Notice that Nehemiah specifically prayed for God to strengthen his hands. The combination of hard work and opposition from their adversaries was causing fatigue. You may encounter similar circumstances in your life. Your responsibilities can be discouraging, and the constant negativity from those who serve the devil's agenda can weigh you down. You might also face family struggles, such as a child going off course or dealing with conflicts. Additionally, you may be battling a health issue. For me, this has particularly been the case with my dad over the past two years; he has been in the hospital more than he has been at home. Despite these struggles, the Lord has heard our prayers for strength, and today, we are especially thankful for him on his birthday.
Therefore, praying for God's strength is a wise course of action because He is faithful to provide you with this timely blessing.
Isaiah 41:10 tells us, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
