Your New Year Prayer

Your New Year Prayer | January 1, 2025 (12 am Release)
As you start the New Year, make it a priority to include prayer as your first action. It can be a silent prayer amidst the celebration—a prayer over your family or with your family. You can do it right before you head to bed and again when you awake on New Year's Day. Either way, beginning your year with prayer is a sign of reverence for God and the wise practice of dedication.
We see in Scripture that there are numerous times when God's people paused to offer a prayer of dedication For example, David dedicated the Temple offerings in First Chronicles 29:10-19; Solomon dedicated the Temple in First Kings 8:22-53; Nehemiah dedicated Jerusalem's Wall in Nehemiah 12:27-43; Ezra offered a prayer of dedication and confession in Ezra 9:5-15; and other notable characters include Moses and Joshua, who also offered prayers of dedication.
Your dedication prayer can include asking God for His guidance and protection over 2026. You can dedicate your business, work, or school to Him, as well as your time and talents. Additionally, consider dedicating your relationships, mind, and body. As the new year approaches, ask God for discernment, peace, healing, provision, patience, steadfastness, and wisdom.
As you pray and start your year this way, remember that God will draw close to those who call on His perfect name. Psalm 145:18 declares, "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
