Blessed Are The Pliable

A widely recognized exercise plan that has gained significant attention over the past 15 years is pliability workouts. This type of training is essential for athletes because flexibility promotes long, soft, and functional muscles rather than tight, rigid ones. This flexibility is essential for improving performance, reducing the risk of injury, and accelerating recovery.
Pliability improves joint range of motion (ROM), allowing for more powerful, explosive movements, such as longer strides during sprinting. It also enhances blood flow and nutrient delivery, accelerating muscle repair, helping muscles absorb and distribute force more evenly, and increasing agility.
Notable athletes who have incorporated mobility workouts into their training include former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who developed a comprehensive regimen; professional golfer Lee Westwood; CrossFit athlete Emma Lawson; and 1500m world champion Josh Kerr.
Sports isn't the only place where pliable workouts are needed. Pliability is needed at home, work, church, school, and even on your morning commute! We can accomplish more when we are flexible, especially when dealing with others. We can even reduce our stress and potentially free up more time to be productive or rest. Being pliable can also provide teachable moments.
Now you may say, that sounds great, but how do I become more pliable when I am used to doing things my way? Well, lean on what you have learned from your experiences. Pliability often comes from some of life's more difficult circumstances.
Philippians 4:12-14 says, "I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. 14 Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty."
The Apostle Paul became pliable not because of his previously held lofty positions or religious knowledge. Instead, the combination of trials and seasons of favor produced within him a flexibility that helped him deal with problems and handle prosperity.
God has plans for you, but you need to be flexible. New assignments and opportunities are waiting. Remember, Blessed Are The Pliable!
