Waiting On God For Direction

Waiting On God For Direction | October 9, 2025
Before the invention of the Global Positioning System (GPS), asking for directions could often be quite challenging. Whether it involved finding someone who was familiar with your destination or facing the embarrassment of being lost, seeking help was always an adventure. However, the mission of Christ remains unchanged. Hebrews 13:8 states, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever." This divine continuity underscores the Gospel message of Jesus' atoning death on the cross and His victorious triumph over death.
Given God's unwavering commitment to directing His people on the right path, we can confidently assert that GPS truly stands for "God's Positioning Spirit." The way God's Positioning Spirit works is by you yielding to God for counsel. Yielding is through prayer, fasting, Scripture reading, and giving. As you remain committed to filling your heart with God, you can expect a greater awareness of the Spirit's leading. The more time you spend with God, the better His positioning Spirit will work in your life. Psalm 16:11 says, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Therefore, wait for God to speak through His Word. Then, seek Him in prayer and incorporate short-term fasting. You will never regret having patience for God's timing and purposes.
