America's Young Voice of Reason

Earlier today, we received the heartbreaking news of the assassination of Mr. Charlie Kirk (31 years of age), one of America's leading and legendary conservative voices of Biblical and political reasoning.  Tragically, he leaves behind his wife and two young children.

At the age of 18, Charlie co-founded Turning Point USA, an organization that respectfully and tactfully challenged liberal ideology on college campuses. Turning Point became a prominent participant in the get-out-the-vote efforts for conservative candidates and played a significant role in our recent presidential election, particularly among young voters. Currently, Turning Point USA, primarily a youth organization, has grown to include over 650,000 lifetime student members, a staff of more than 450, and active chapters on over 3,000 college campuses nationwide, with revenue exceeding $80 million last year.

As a result, Charlie became well known both nationally and internationally for his college tour visits and conferences, where he boldly shared his faith and passionately, yet politely, represented his conservative political views. Although his gatherings also attracted attendees with diametrically opposing perspectives, Charlie's responses to their statements were consistently God-honoring, highly competent, and inspiring.

Those who share Charlie's Biblical convictions and conservative values, like myself, are both saddened and infuriated by his passing. He was clearly targeted because of his beliefs, and the circumstances surrounding his murder strike a blow to the very freedoms he so valiantly championed and that we currently enjoy. However, even though this was an attempt to silence those who think like Charlie, it serves as a reminder that this is more than a political issue; it is a wicked, demonic issue.  The devil is at work, and he hates the progress of anything deemed "good" and the sharing of the Gospel, especially with young people.  In many ways, Charlie was like America's "Young Adult's Pastor", attempting to spiritually steer his massive audience to Christ and educate them on the gross overreaches of those trying to use indoctrination warfare against our precious children.  

While Charlie's achievements and accomplishments are impressive, his most significant claim to fame is his faith in Jesus Christ. A few days before his passing, Charlie posted, "Jesus defeated death so you can live."

At this moment, Charlie is more alive than ever, experiencing the reality of God's eternal promises as his faith has become sight!
