Trust God's Transformation

A man once visited a pottery studio and noticed a large pile of cracked and broken pieces of clay sitting in a corner. He asked the potter, “Are those pieces ruined? Are they just leftovers that can no longer be used?”

The potter smiled and replied, “Not at all. Those pieces will be crushed, mixed with fresh clay, and put back on the wheel. What may look broken to you is actually material that I can reshape into something beautiful.”

The man was astonished that the potter could see potential in something he only viewed as broken.

That is often how God works in our lives. We encounter disappointments, failures, and circumstances that seem impossible to fix. In these moments, we might look at our situation and think, “This is too broken. This is too bitter. Nothing good can come from this.”

However, God sees things differently.

At Marah, the Israelites faced bitter water and a disappointing situation. While they were focused on their struggles, God saw an opportunity to reveal His character. He transformed what was undrinkable into something they could accept, showing Himself as Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals.

Exodus 15:22-27, "Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water.23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah. 24 And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 And he cried to the Lord, and the Lordshowed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.
There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them,26 saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”
27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water."

God does not waste our difficult seasons. The same God who transformed bitter waters can also transform bitter hearts, broken dreams, and painful circumstances for His purposes.
