Habit Of Purity
Purity is grossly misunderstood in our culture. People think if you’re going to be pure then you’re a “goody-two-shoes,” nobody wants to be around you, or that you’re a drag. However, counter to culture if you live a pure life you are someone that people should want to be around. As you pursue purity, you’re going to be a person of integrity, who’s dependable, who’s trustworthy, and who’s looking to make the right moral decisions.
Besides those results of living a pure life, there’s an even greater reason to have the habit of purity. That reason is that Jesus told us to have a pure heart. Matthew 5:8 tells us the words of Jesus “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”
By seeing God, you won’t see God in your corn flakes, see Jesus shaped from a potato chip or anything funky like that. In seeing God, you’ll very clearly see the plans, purposes, and promises of God. That’s why you’ll be heart-healthy with the habit of Purity.
