Habit Of Discernment
May 22, 2016 • Pastor Scott Barber
Every day we face decisions in our lives that are not easy to make. The baseball great, Yogi Berra, once said “when you come to a fork in the road, take it.” It would be great if we could take Yogi’s advice and just take it, but it’s not quite that easy to go forward. Decisions we make every day can be very complicated.
Dr. Seuss might have said it better than Yogi Berra when he said “Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find, for a mind maker-upper to make up his mind”. Sometimes one seemingly simple decision can change the course of our lives, both good and poor. That is why we need discernment when we need to make a wise choice. That is why we need the Habit of Discernment to be Heart Healthy.
