Contribution

Renew inwardly by focusing on contributing rather than collecting. There is a trend to focus on getting, where people suffer from consumption disease in their thinking. Seemingly counter-cultural, Jesus shows us the real focus when He said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. It’s not the norm, which says to see what you can get out of someone or something; but contributing is important to your life and any relationship that you have.

Whether its with a spouse, a co-worker, family member, or friend; while the world says to be a self-consumed collector who gets, be a sacrificial contributor who gives. Being a collector, receiver, self-focused will cripple your relationships and cripple your relationship with God. There is more benefit to you when you focus on being a contributor. Discovering your purpose for life is connected to being a contributor.
