God Gives Me Guidance

If you were to hear audibly from God, have you ever thought about what God would say to you? Some may think that God would say He’s going to get even with them because of all the running from Him that they’ve done. Others might think that God is going to say that they owe Him something because they’ve been skipping out on Him. There could be lots of thoughts that run through a mind.

Looking to the Old Testament into the New Testament there are 400 years of silence from heaven. Once God broke this silence after 400 years you may wonder what He would say to break this silence. This first message from heaven is this; Fear Not. God’s message is; “do not be afraid.” A lot of times people think God is a big cosmic cop in the sky that’s looking and ready to get even with them and write an unjust ticket for their life; but no, the message from heaven is; Fear Not.

Throughout the entire Christmas story, we see God’s message of fear not, and God’s giving of guidance to everyday human characters. We need guidance in our lives as well. On this Christmas or any Sunday, if those who come to church or watch online were polled as to why they came, or why they watch; part of why is to honor God, and another part of it is there is some part of us that is seeking some divine guidance through this very difficult world that we are called to navigate. This Christmas season you can fear not, because God gives you guidance
