Standing On God's Promises

The Bible contains God’s promises so that you may have hope! Across the Scripture there are over 7,000 of God’s promises found within. It’s important to be mindful of the truth of God’s promises because you can be robbed of an opportunity to have a trust in something far greater than the pleasures and possessions of this world if that mindfulness is missing. Then the truth of God’s Word gets lumped in with false religious teachings and the hope of God’s promises can be lost.

Though Christmas has passed this year, you don’t have to wait until next Christmas to hold onto the promises of God. Maybe you’re facing the grief of another holiday season alone without someone you love; or there’s a habit you’re trying to put in place with your health, your nutrition, or in your relationship with God. Much more than will power of good motivation, a hope in God’s promises is the power that will bring you through whatever challenges that you are facing in life.

The Bible isn’t merely a story, religious jargon, or a bunch of rules; the Bible contains God’s promises so that you may have the hope of encouragement and peace in the troubles of this life.
