Share The Mercy Of Christmas

The events of Christmas are about God’s mercy. God demonstrated His mercy on us all by the birth of Jesus unto this world. Jesus was born in a dark and dirty manger to mercifully die for your sins so that by placing your faith in Him, God’s ultimate mercy is demonstrated through your salvation.

The mercy of Christmas is also demonstrated through Joseph, who by all rights could have publicly shamed Mary for becoming pregnant outside of their soon-to-be marriage. Even before the angel told him that Mary’s conception was through the Holy Spirit, Joseph chose to show mercy instead of shame; and once it was revealed Mary was carrying the Son of God, he followed through by faithfully serving the Lord.
