“Relationships are like fudge, mostly sweet but a few nuts;” or so the saying goes. It’s also been said that we can choose our friends, but we can’t choose our family. Relationships can get a bad rap at times with sayings like those, but the hope is that it is still possible to not succumb to the stress and nonsense that usually comes with the rough waters of relationships.
We can shift into the right focus in all of our relationships with a Relation-Shift, and it starts by shifting from a me-centered focus to a we-centered focus. Any time we make it all about us with our relationships, whether it’s with God or others, that’s a formula for disaster. Success and growth in life are found with the right mentality of “it’s not about me.” Having a “we” mentality changes everything.
