The centerpiece of the Gospel, this Christmas, is that a Savior has been born. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Even in the enormity of the Christmas story, and all that it means; in the midst of all of that, is the message of humility. As you look to follow and draw closer to the Lord during this special time of the year, you can be reminded of that humility. Humility was put on display for you, and it was shown that it is possible to have humility as you wait for the Lord and wait for His joy. There is great joy for those that are humble.

A common misconception is that joy is reserved for only the religious people, or the spiritually elite. Luke 2:10 says, Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” This great joy that the angel was proclaiming to the shepherds was not dependent upon favorable circumstances, or even superior spiritual knowledge. Rather, the great joy was to come from the birth of Christ. In Great Joy For All People, we explore the great joy that is associated with the birth of Christ and see how it can powerfully impact our lives. By looking to the Bible, we will look to the lives of those directly touched by this great joy. With this series, you will be able to increase your faith in the Lord and to overcome whatever difficulties that come your way, because of the great joy of the Lord.
