Healthy Are The Persecuted

How can you be happy and healthy if you’re persecuted when being persecuted is to be singled out and treated unfairly because of your faith? The answer lies within what Jesus Himself has taught us.. Someone who is being persecuted can be happy and healthy if they are living for the sake of righteousness. When you are living righteously you are living life in a way where there is a goodness about you, a way that’s pleasing to God. Righteousness is not living perfectly, not living a religious, but having a focus in your life that says that you want to live for the glory of God. When you live life in this way then even in the harshest of treatments you will still be blessed when you are living for God. No matter what you are going through live righteously by being faithful instead of being flaky. Whether it is at work, at school, by a neighbor, friend, family member, or enemy; if you are persecuted because of your faith and you hold firm to your convictions then you will put out vibes of faithfulness. Remain focused on living for God’s glory and you will live a life of happy and healthy righteousness. Healthy are the persecuted for they shall put out vibes of faithfulness.

From Series: "Healthy Vibes"

A new year provides a new focus on a new healthier you. To help us achieve our new convictions, this is usually accompanied by new year’s resolutions centered around weight loss, good looks, strong relationships, and financial prosperity. Things start off well in the beginning; however within a few days or weeks we begin to crack, and those well intended resolutions to form new habits become another failure to launch our dreams of health. With the failure we begin to send out unhealthy vibes to others. These vibes are messages we send with our attitudes and actions. Sending healthy vibes to others is important, that is why our game plan of health can’t be surface level. Get-fit-quick fixes and shallow Christianity simply won’t cut it; we need a deeper focus. Even with all of our advancements in healthy living and spiritual programming that we have today; the fact is that we can still stumble causing both our life message and faith to falter. Our plan of health needs to begin within our own hearts with God. With a focus on God, we can say as Psalm 73:26 says; “My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.” Our health fails, our spirits grow weak, and our resolutions falter; but with an inward focus on God we can still send the right messages with our attitudes and actions and have healthy vibes. New year’s resolutions show that we have a desire to change, but how do we move past surface level resolutions? The key is making all of our desire to see change and improvement all about God and His purposes. As we seek to be disciplined in our walk with God, the rest of the areas in our lives will benefit. Resolve to make it all about God and His purposes; and then, and only then, will we be sending out the healthy vibes that reflect genuine health and honor God.
