How Jesus Lives Through My Baptism | 11:00am

Jesus & Baptism

Scripture References: Matthew 3:13-17

From Series: "Christ In Me"

At the moment of salvation, when a person puts their faith in Christ, they participate spiritually in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ in that they reap the blessings of forgiveness and the promise of eternal life. For this reason, the Apostle Paul told the Church at Galatia: "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." In addition to the blessings of salvation, we have a responsibility to honor the Son of God with our life, because Paul proclaimed, "Christ lives in me." Understanding and applying this truth that "Christ lives in each believer" is vital to our spiritual health and growth.
