Genuine Worship

In your life, God isn’t looking for pretense or perfection, God is looking for pure genuineness in worship. Worship is multi-faceted, like a diamond. Giving, church, communion, parenting, lifestyle, work, prayer, attitude, serving, and singing can all be plugged into worship. To truly worship God is to genuinely have Jesus Christ as the head of your life, where God is attributed the worth He is due.

Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 11:17-28

From Series: "Genuine"

“Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.” — Ephesians 6:24 NKJV Like a stamped and sealed certificate of authenticity, the quality of being genuine with God and others is essential to the overall health of these significant relationships. There have been many expressions of Christianity through the centuries. Some have given great examples to follow; while others have sadly veered from the path of God’s purposes. The true test of any expression of Christianity, and what ultimately validates and verifies a person’s pursuit of God as real is genuineness. Being genuine in your faith reverberates in heaven! Genuineness, most importantly, brings God the legitimate honor and praise He is due. Without being genuine it is impossible to correctly and sincerely love, pray, give, grow, serve, share, and contribute the way that God has willed. With all the comforts of Christianity that we may have in our culture; we don’t want to lack the very thing that is closest to the heart of God; which is genuineness with God and others. Considering the importance of being genuine, it is time to refocus and retrain our hearts on genuineness. By God’s grace you can have a strong relationship with God, and improved integrity when you choose to live a stamped, sealed, and certified authentic life marked by being genuine. “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” — James 1:27 NLT
