Monday, November 27 2017 | 7:30pm
Some look forward to the holidays, but once everything has changed and the happy memories from years past can’t be recreated anymore, then the holidays can be looked at with dread. You may find yourself wondering how you will survive the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas, especially after the death of a loved one. If this sounds familiar, then this Surviving The Holidays event will provide you with ways to be helped and have hope as you navigate the Christmas season.
At Surviving The Holidays, you’ll learn how to deal with the many emotions that you’ll face during the holidays; what to do about traditions and other coming changes; helpful tips for surviving social events; as well as how to discover hope for your future. This is done through a 40-minute video of practical holiday survival tips; and if you would like to, a chance to hear from others like you and how they are dealing with the holidays, and giving you the opportunity to share how grief is affecting you. You will also receive GriefShare’s Holiday Survival Guide to keep and help you through the upcoming holiday season.
Surviving The Holidays is sponsored by GriefShare. GriefShare is nondenominational and open to people of all faiths, as well as those who do not practice a faith.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and find the help and the hope to navigate the holiday season.
The cost is $5.00 which covers the cost of the study materials and Holiday Survival Guide.
