Revealing Life

Revealing Life

Even though we may appear alive and well on the outside, when we lose sight of who Jesus is, we can become dead inside. In Revelation, Sardis was famous and known throughout all the regions, however, Jesus’ assessment marked the church of Sardis as a dead church. Even if we were to be famous and well known as Sardis was, we too can be spiritually dead where the flow of the Spirit is blocked inside of us. Thankfully Jesus is the life-giver and He shows us the way back to Him. In Revelation Jesus reveals the path of life so that we may have life, and have life abundantly.

The Book of Revelation is a Book of hope. In its chapters are found the promised blessings of Jesus’ revealed message. Revelation is perhaps the most misunderstood section in all of the Bible. Misinterpretations abound, including the timeline of the rapture of the church, the tribulation, and Jesus’s second coming; as well as some who falsely project specific dates concerning these events. These false alarms combined with a perception of complexity can desensitize awareness of the significance of the Book of Revelation. The key to understanding Revelation is found in identifying the primary message and recipients in the Book. With a look at the message and recipients in the opening chapters, you can discover the promised blessings of Jesus’ revealed message
