We believe a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment, and the Great Commission; will grow a Great Church.

The Great Commandment
‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ | Matthew 22:37-39

The Great Commission
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”… | Matthew 28:19-20

Crossroad’s Essential Beliefs
We believe that God is our sovereign Creator.
[zilla_one_half]
God is the Creator, and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

We believe that the Holy Trinity eternally consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
[zilla_one_half]
The Holy Trinity is one God, existing in Three Persons.

We believe Jesus Christ is Son of God, and Lamb of God.
[zilla_one_half]
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

We believe the Holy Spirit seals salvation and empowers believers for God’s glory.
[zilla_one_half]
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word, and that it is absolute truth, lacking error or inconsistency.
[zilla_one_half]
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

We believe human beings are spiritually bankrupt apart from Christ.
[zilla_one_half]
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

We believe salvation is exclusively provided by God through faith in Jesus Christ.
[zilla_one_half]
Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

We believe that a Christian can never lose or forfeit their Eternal Security.
[zilla_one_half]
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation is for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.

We believe that Eternity is the place we enter into after physical death.
[zilla_one_half]
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. The Bible does not teach purgatory.

We believe that baptism is an outward symbol of an inward change.
[zilla_one_half]
Baptism has no redeeming power over original sin. The slate of mankind can only be wiped clean through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Therefore, God has placed baptism as one of several beautiful symbols of our new faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism also identifies the Christian with God’s commands and God’s church. The meaning of baptism is “to dip under.” Believer’s baptism is a clear ordinance of the church and command of Christ. Every baptism in the Bible follows the chronological order of “belief then baptism.”

We believe Communion is a public confession of a private conviction.
[zilla_one_half]
Receiving communion has no power to absolve any sin or transgression. Rather, communion is a reverent act of worship that honors the memory of Christ’s sacrificial – redeeming work on the cross.
